The ASA Curriculum

A Joyful Beginning to Life Long Learning

At ASA, we focus on building strong foundations in language, science, mathematics and the visual and performing arts, ensuring every child develops the ability to think clearly, communicate confidently, and learn independently. From this foundation, students expand into science, history, and the arts with depth and curiosity.

Core Academics

English Language Arts & Literacy

Students develop:

Chinese Language

(Mandarin Immersion)

  • Balanced development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
  • Daily exposure and consistent practice, including recitation of classical Chinese literature
  • Integration with cultural learning

Students become confident bilingual communicators and understanding of the culture.

Mathematics

A structured, cumulative approach that builds:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Science

  • Hands-on exploration and observation
  • Builds curiosity and understanding of the natural world

History and Geography

  • U.S. & World History and Geography
  • Study of Cultures, Civilizations and Influential Leaders
  • Develops context, Perspective, and Cultural awareness

Arts Integration

As part of the school day, students participate in a daily rotating arts program:

This daily practice develops:

Physical Education
